“We booked The Hood Arms for mother's day, as we were staying in a nearby caravan park. The pub is beautiful! We were welcomed by staff, who were very friendly and kept saying hello to our 1 year old boy. The food though, was superb! Both me and my wife agreed it was the best we have had at a restaurant in years! Very reasonable prices, wine was lovely with a couple types of sauvignon blancs (French and New Zealand when we were there). The Exmoor Gold on cask was lovely too, had I not driven, I could have sat there all day drinking that! I'd recommend this place to anyone in a heartbeat, so would my wife and 1 year old! Parking is minimal, but there's a FREE car park across the road, don't threat over that.”

“Just spent 3 nights at the Hood Arms and had a brilliant stay. The room was outstanding as was the food. Great location to explore the fossiliferous coastline. Would definitely recommend. Thank you.”

“Highly recommended for weary hikers wanted good food. Tempura Prawns to share as a starter: gorgeous. The highlight was the Moules Marinière with a sumptuous white wine, cream, garlic and parsley sauce.... Oh my days... possibly the best I’ve eaten outside of France. Will return.”

“Incredible little hotel and pub, we didn't have any food but had a nice breakfast. The owner is such a nice guy, so welcoming and accommodating! Our room was amazing - excellent size, comfy bed, great bathroom and very quiet being on the back of the building. He also very kindly upgraded us to a superior as there were not many guests that night free of charge. It's also a short drive to Klive beach which was an amazing morning walk along the rocks and cliffs.”
